Good Day Pilgrim Friends!
We are reaching out to you today to offer news of recent developments in the Young Adult Family Ministry at Pilgrim Congregational UCC.
While the spirit & mission of the Young Adult Family Ministry (or YAFM) is intact, we are sorry to say goodbye to Nate Podgajny who recently resigned as the Ministry Director to pursue other opportunities. He has served as YAFM Director since September 2016. Under Nate’s leadership, this ministry has seen tremendous success; first and foremost all the new faces and fresh energy in our church. In addition, Nate brought a vigorous mission/social justice awareness, a new & vibrant website, new partnering organizations, and a meaningful strategic plan to serve as the roadmap for the future of the Young Adult Family Ministry. From all of us on the YAFM Committee, a heartfelt ‘Thank you Nate!’ for successfully launching the Young Adult Family Ministry and for creating a solid foundation from which to grow.
The mission of the Young Adult Family Ministry is greater than any one person and the vibrancy of this ministry continues in our church. During this transition, the programs are maintained through the volunteer efforts of our team and any church friends and members who feel a call to participate. We intend to create a team of people who were involved in the formation of the ministry to determine how we will flesh out this vision moving forward. It is a time for faith and discernment. Glover reminds us we need to find peace within the “pause” and trust that the new path for this ministry will continue to be vibrant and full of youthful energy for our church. We will keep the congregation updated on the progress.
